The event, to be held on November 28-29, will be attended by members of movement groups from Coquimbo, La Serena, Santiago, Talca, Valdivia, Ovalle, Concepcion, Valparaiso, and other cities, Sary Olmos, of the Chilean-Cuban Friendship House in Viña del Mar, told Prensa Latina.

The delegates will analyze, in different sessions, the work developed during the year, the strengthening of the fight against the US blockade, and the increase in support campaigns for the island, which is also suffering the effects of Hurricane Melissa.

The activist stated, “We have been holding meetings and activities since May to organize this major event.

We have prepared with great enthusiasm, responsibility, and commitment.”

Sary Olmos noted that many organizations have long been working to take supplies and medicine to Cuba and are now focused on a campaign to help the eastern provinces affected by the hurricane.
