Cuban tourism draws attention at International Fair

Havana, Nov 27 (Prensa Latina) Cuban tourism is once again taking center stage at the 41st Havana International Fair (FIHAV 2025) as an essential link in the nation's economy.

Delegates attending the fair can see that the travel industry on the island is committed to diversification and strategic alliances.

Within the framework of the Fair, the Cuban tourism sector is presenting itself not as just another player, but as a fundamental pillar for the island’s economic recovery, deploying a clear strategy of diversifying markets and products that seeks to captivate a more demanding and segmented traveler.

The opinions of officials, and even the Cuban Minister of Tourism, Juan Carlos García, who is attending the event, highlight important aspects of this sector.

The pavilion dedicated to tourism at the Expocuba fairgrounds is one of the busiest and most dynamic at the fair, demonstrating the significant weight of this industry.

It’s not just about showcasing sun and sand, but about presenting a renewed and multifaceted offering.

The presence of tourism ministries, hotel chains like Gaviota, Gran Caribe, and Islazul, and specialized tour operators demonstrates a coordinated effort to reposition Cuba on the global tourism map after challenging years.

The strategy is clear: reduce the historical dependence on the traditional source market and accelerate the attraction of tourists from new regions.

Companies from Europe, Canada, and Latin America are exploring agreements that will allow for a more stable and diverse flow of visitors.
