“We are realistic. We really want to join NATO; it is fair. But we know for sure that neither the United States nor other countries see Ukraine in the alliance yet. And Russia, of course, will never see us there,” Zelensky told Strana news portal.
The president underscored his willingness to hold elections in Ukraine. He noted that these elections could be prepared within 60 to 90 days. Meanwhile, Oleh Didenko, Chairperson of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Ukraine, previously stated that organizing elections would require more than three months after the cessation of hostilities.
Foreign Ministry Special Envoy Rodion Miroshnik, responding to Zelensky’s remarks about holding elections, stated that it was “a bluff and a manipulation of the rules.”
