They also reiterated their commitment to continue strengthening the historic bonds of friendship, cooperation, and mutual respect between the two countries.
The Chilean right-wing candidate won the second round of elections yesterday against his rival Jeannette Jara, with a hardline stance against crime and immigration.
Kast obtained 58.16 percent of the vote, while the candidate representing the left, progressivism, and social democracy reached 41.84 percent, with almost 100 percent of the polling stations reporting.
