The recent visit of a UN delegation to the area conveyed an unequivocal message that this land is Syrian, Olabi told Al-Ikhbariya news channel.

The permanent representative underscored that the Syrian State has not relinquished and will not relinquish any part of its territory, and any Israeli presence in these areas is an illegal occupation in violation of international law.

The diplomat explained that the visit made on Saturday by the UN delegation to the Quneitra Governorate was successful, as it allowed its members to witness firsthand the repeated Israeli violations and convey the voices of the affected citizens to the international community.

He also noted that the visit contributed to the development of practical mechanisms for addressing the cases of Syrian detainees and citizens abducted by Israel, as well as the damage caused to property.

Olabi further stated that Syria’s diplomatic efforts have helped strengthen the case regarding the Syrian Golan Heights at the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), highlighting the full implementation of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
