In a statement released on Facebook, the organization affirmed that, in the face of attempts at destabilization and attacks on Venezuelan sovereignty, the Cubans living in the land of Sandino reaffirm that Venezuela is not alone.
The declaration of solidarity coincides with the 173rd anniversary of the birth of Cuba’s National Hero, Jose Marti, which will be commemorated on January 28, a date of profound significance for Cubans.
In evoking Marti’s thought, the group remembered the Apostle’s legacy of Latin American unity, in which he called for the awakening of the continent’s peoples and the defense of their independence.
The statement denounced the systematic aggression against Venezuela, the use of unilateral coercive measures, and the disinformation campaigns aimed at undermining peace, self-determination, and the democratic process of the Bolivarian nation.
From Nicaragua, the community reaffirmed its commitment to peace, sovereignty, and the integration of peoples, and underscored the enduring relevance of Marti’s thought in confronting the forces seeking to divide Latin America.
The statement concluded with a call for brotherhood between the peoples of Cuba and Venezuela and with a tribute to the Apostle on the anniversary of his birth.
