Several of them were arrested while pregnant, and some even gave birth in prison, the organization stated, citing the case of Tahani Abu Samhan, who gave birth in Damon Prison.
The organization added that the women detained in Damon are being subjected to starvation and various forms of mistreatment, including repression, isolation, and constant insults.
Last week, The Times of Israel revealed a report by the Public Defender’s Office, which admitted that imprisoned Palestinians face inhumane conditions and are subjected to torture.
The document confirms that so-called “security” detainees suffered severe and systematic violence at the hands of prison guards.
They also faced unsanitary conditions that caused and exacerbated disease outbreaks in the prisons, the report stated.
