Cuba reaffirms commitment against all forms of discrimination

Havana, Jan 27 (Prensa Latina) Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez reaffirmed his country's commitment to eliminating all forms of discrimination and called for a more inclusive and democratic world order.

On his Twitter account, the Minister of Foreign Affairs addressed the issue on the occasion of the International Day of Commemoration in Memory of the Victims of the Holocaust.

The head of Cuban diplomacy reiterated on that social network the Cuban stance on its commitment “to the fight against all forms of discrimination, including anti-Semitism, racism, xenophobia, and religious intolerance.”

Likewise, in the same Twitter post, Rodriguez urged for a more inclusive and democratic world order, “where the right to peace, life, and the well-being of all peoples is respected,” he stated.

International Holocaust Remembrance Day is observed every January 27, following its adoption by the United Nations in 2005 to commemorate the millions of victims of this genocide.

The date marks the day in 1945 when Soviet troops liberatedCuba reaffirms commitment against all forms of discrimination the German Nazi concentration and extermination camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau.
