The meeting, in a hybrid format (face-to-face and virtual) at the Palacio de Convenciones in Havana, will also bring together a thousand national participants to discuss innovation and social transformation towards higher education for sustainable and inclusive development.
This edition coincides with the celebrations for the centenary of the historical leader of the Revolution Fidel Castro, architect of the transformations that allowed Cuba to reach high levels of development in education, so the meeting will have as its transversal axis his imprint.
According to the deputy of the Ministry of Higher Education (MES), Reynaldo Velazquez, the academic meeting will recall the creation of this portfolio half a century ago and the constitution of its network of universities.
Topics such as the role of higher education in the development of Artificial Intelligence, food production, energy transition, science and innovation, will also be discussed in six symposia and 26 workshops involving leading figures from Latin America and elsewhere.
In the context of the meeting, will be held the First Meeting of Graduates of Cuban Universities, with a representation of more than 84,000 foreign graduates from higher education centers of this Caribbean nation.
