Seminar in Uruguay will denounce violations of International Law

Montevideo, Jan 29 (Prensa Latina) The seminar "Imperialist Aggression Against Venezuela: Challenges and Opportunities in International Affairs is part of Uruguay's solidarity in the face of US aggression and threats against Caracas.

This initiative comes from the Uruguayan Anti-Imperialist Committee of Solidarity with Cuba and the Peoples of the World, which brings together various political and social organizations.

Among them is the PIT-CNT labor federation, whose president, Marcelo Abdala, called on citizens to participate in the forum, which will take place in the Paraninfo of the University of the Republic.

“The entire popular movement must speak out and demonstrate in defense of democracy and life,” Abdala said, referring to the seminar, which is part of the actions in support of the Bolivarian people.

Abdala stated in the announcement that with the attack on Venezuela on January 3, the United States provoked a breakdown of the world order.

“We are in a new kind of situation where international law is being violated and trampled upon, and force, the law of the strongest, is beginning to prevail,” he emphasized at the time.

The rector of the University of the Republic (Udelar), Héctor Cancela, will open the forum’s presentations, which will also include international and Uruguayan legal experts, the president of the PIT-CNT (National Confederation of Workers), and the Venezuelan consul general, Pedro Sassone.
