Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone chaired the meeting of the National Digital Transformation Committee, where all sectors were instructed to develop concrete plans based on digital government, economy, and society.
The roadmap primarily focuses on expanding telecommunications infrastructure, integrating the e-Office system, developing artificial intelligence, and consolidating the electronic population database.
It also prioritizes the interoperability of digital payments, telemedicine, agricultural traceability records, and educational platforms, as well as strengthening cybersecurity and combating online fraud.
The plan includes implementation, consolidation, and final evaluation phases, with clear performance indicators to ensure that digitalization produces sustainable, inclusive, and measurable benefits across the country.
