Zimbabwe and Cuba gives new boost for education cooperation

Harare, Feb 3 (Prensa Latina) Zimbabwe's Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology Development, Frederik M. Shava, addressed on Tuesday with Cuban Ambassador to this nation, Susellys Perez Mesa, several initiatives to strengthen relations in the field of education.

Shava and Perez Mesa exchanged on the minister’s upcoming visit to Cuba to attend the 15th International Congress “Universidad 2026” in Havana.

The Zimbabwean minister will be accompanied at that event by directors, officials, and deans of higher education institutions and will hold meetings with counterparts from several ministries in the Caribbean nation.

Shava’s agenda aims to continue the positive cooperation relationship in education, with new perspectives for strengthening it.

The minister and the head of the diplomatic mission discussed ongoing projects in the area of biotechnology and other related events planned for the island this year.
