It repudiates the fact that this is an attempt to deprive the population of food and use hunger as a weapon of war.

For decades, the Cuban people have been held hostage by economic, military, and political aggression from the United States, which has caused profound social damage, worsened living conditions, and led to the emigration of thousands of inhabitants, the statement emphasizes.

This new action against Cuba represents a deepening of the aggression Trump has been carrying out against the peoples of the Americas, the labor union asserts.
