“It is absolutely false that Sheinbaum has cut off the oil supply to Cuba, as alleged by those manipulating information on social media, who also seek to generate unrest and further anxiety among the Cuban people,” Calloni told Prensa Latina.
At a time when no other country has sent crude oil shipments, Mexico has done so, and its president has reiterated that she will continue sending humanitarian aid to the island, the renowned writer, poet, and journalist emphasized.
Calloni warned that Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel reiterated Havana’s gratitude to the Mexican government for the humanitarian aid that continues to arrive on the island from Mexico, and for this reason, Sheinbaum is being attacked more and more.
The affirmation over the continuation of oil shipments to Cuba was reaffirmed by Pemex Director General Victor Rodriguez Padilla, at the regular press briefing held by the president, who flanked the official as he spoke to the national and international press.
Rodriguez Padilla asserted that the export contract, which has been in effect since 2023, will be maintained.
