Wang Huning, a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC)’s Central Committee and chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, the country’s top advisory body, made this remark when meeting with Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodriguez, special envoy of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Government.
Wang highlighted the deep ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries, as well as the recent high-level meetings between their respective presidents.
The Cuban foreign minister, in turn, emphasized China’s example as a beacon of peace and multilateralism, as well as a factor of global stability, balance, and opportunity.
Rodriguez reaffirmed that inter-party ties are the cornerstone of these bilateral relations and highlighted the maturity, profound political trust, and dynamism of the relationship between the two countries.
