The organization expressed, in strong and categorical terms, its repudiation of the continued policy of economic, commercial, and financial blockade imposed by the Donald Trump administration Dominican party supports Cuba against US threats the Caribbean island, and defended the Cuban people’s right to sovereignty, self-determination, and to decide their own destiny.
In this regard, the FR denounced that the measures announced on January 29 by the White House, which declare a supposed national emergency in order to impose tariffs on countries that supply oil to Cuba, seek to completely strangle fuel supplies to the socialist island.
The Cuban Revolutionary Front (FR) also condemned the measure as a cowardly tactic of blackmail, threats, and coercion against sovereign nations, in a desperate effort to impose through hunger and need what they have been unable to achieve in more than six decades: to break the sovereign will of the Cuban people.
The FR stated that this aggression is justified with lies and defamatory accusations, including the absurd claim that Cuba represents a “threat” to U.S. security.
Faced with what it described as a fascist and savage action, the group extended its solidarity with the Cuban people and called for unity and a commitment to struggle alongside the Communist Party of Cuba to resist and defeat these actions by Washington.
