New York’s MoMA will dedicate an exhibition to Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera

New York, Feb 14 (Prensa Latina) The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in this U.S. city will open the exhibition Frida and Diego: The Last Dream on March 21.

The exhibition will explore the artistic and personal dialogue between two of the most influential figures in 20th-century Latin American art: Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera.

Until September 12 of this year, the exhibition will feature emblematic paintings, drawings, and portraits from the museum’s collection.

The curatorial project proposes an innovative interpretation of the work of both artists, establishing a bridge between the visual and performing arts.

The exhibition design will be inspired by the operatic production The Last Dream of Frida and Diego, creating an immersive experience that connects painting, narrative, and contemporary performance.

The exhibition examines how the creative and emotional relationship between Kahlo and Rivera influenced their artistic languages, highlighting themes such as identity, political commitment, memory, and cultural representation. abo/jav/jha/mml
