Fabelo’s Medula exhibit and his art in Cuba

Havana, Feb. 16 (Prensa Latina) The largest solo exhibition by virtuoso Cuban artist Roberto Fabelo, titled Medula (Marrow), is one of the highlights of the Cuban Art Building at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Havana.

The institution is pleased to host the exhibition, which opened last November, and invites visitors to go deep into the universe of the 2004 National Prize for Visual Arts winner through a “majestic experience.”

The public witnesses “a journey through the deep core of his work, where each piece is a creative surprise that invites to reflection,” the exhibition’s Facebook page states.

The exhibition remains open until March 2026 and offers a diversity of ideas through the use of many objects that belong to both our local and global contexts.

The artist told Prensa Latina, adding that his intention with Medula is to foster dialogue and reflection on the themes presented.

A selection of the highlights of his work from the last decade, including paintings, drawings, and installations, are on display in the central courtyard gallery and the temporary exhibition space on the third floor of the Cuban Art Building.

This is a chance to explore the creativity of Roberto Fabelo and delve into the essence of a leading figure in Cuban visual arts.
