The initiative also commemorates the 65th anniversary of the organization and the speech given by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution known as “Words to the Intellectuals.”
This campaign “reaffirms the relationship between Fidel and Cuban culture, from the founding of UNEAC in 1961 to the present day,” the institution wrote on its Facebook page.
“With a program that includes panels, tributes, exhibitions, concerts, and presentations, we will celebrate the organization’s vocation as a promoter of artistic creation,” it added.
The message also highlights the images adorning the facade of the UNEAC headquarters, which “are the visible beginning of a year full of activities.”
