The KCNA news agency released the letters, which concurred in congratulating the event, the General Secretary of the political organization, Kim Jong Un, and the participants of the congress for the achievements in socialist construction for the benefit of the people.

The text from the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam expressed confidence in the results of the 9th Congress as a driving force for greater socioeconomic development, aimed at improving the lives of the people of the DPRK.

Meanwhile, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation recognized the wise leadership of the WPK in guiding the Asian country along the path of socialism, despite various difficulties and the pressure from hostile imperialist forces.

In support of the aspirations of Comrade Kim Il Sung and Comrade Kim Jong Il, great leaders of the Korean people and the DPRK, the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) maintained its position as a leading and guiding force in society, the message stated.

For its part, the Central Committee of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party expressed its conviction that the 9th Congress will further strengthen and develop the WPK.

“We are firmly convinced that you will bring happiness to the people and extraordinarily raise the performance and leadership of the WPK on the political stage both domestically and internationally by successfully implementing the Party’s guidelines, policies, and strategies at this Party gathering,” it declared.
