The president emphasized the importance of national unity, solidarity, and resilience in the face of challenges. “The world is cowardly and tyrannically trying to force us to surrender, but know that we will not surrender to difficulties, just as you have not surrendered,” the president said, addressing the athletes.
In recent weeks, the United States, with the support of Israel, has reinforced its military presence in the Middle East and issued warnings about possible actions against Iran, arguing that it is necessary to curb its nuclear and missile programs, as well as its regional alliances.
Tehran believes that Washington and Tel Aviv are seeking pretexts for a possible intervention and regime change in the country, and reiterated that it will respond to any military aggression, even limited, while insisting on the lifting of Western economic sanctions in exchange for accepting restrictions on its nuclear program.
