The blood and sweat of generations of journalists at the Agency have become part of the nation’s lifeblood to provide truthful and timely information, so that the people could stay informed, To Lam emphasized.
The top party leader recalled that this news agency has the highest number of fallen journalists, 260 out of 511 journalist martyrs nationwide.
In a meeting with VNA officials and staff at the Agency’s headquarters to mark the arrival of the Lunar New Year 2026, Year of the Horse, To Lam emphasized that during this festive period, the agency provided extensive and comprehensive coverage of the activities of the Vietnamese community both in and outside the country.
The CPV general secretary recently underscored that the information and images broadcast by VNA on the Vietnamese delegation’s activities at the Gaza Peace Council meeting in the United States contributed to the success of this important diplomatic endeavor, demonstrating Vietnam’s responsibility and proactive approach to matters of international concern.
To Lam stated that VNA is the leading media outlet of the CPV and the State, the Government’s “news bank,” and the bridge between the Party and the people.
