After presenting the new Five-Year Plan, the leader urged the more vigorous deployment of the ideological, technical, and cultural revolutions in all sectors and units.
These three revolutions are the general guidelines of our Party for socialist construction, asserted the WPK general secretary, who was re-elected to the position due to his prestige and leadership skills, according to the North Korean news agency KCNA.
Kim explained that the revolution does not refer only to material change and the creation of material goods; its fundamental content aims to transform people’s ideological consciousness and prepare them as powerful entities with great creative capacity.
If we do not efficiently carry out the three revolutions aimed at emancipating people from the shackles of old ideologies and raising their conscious enthusiasm and technological and civilizational level, it is quite clear that the benefits we have created, however numerous, will soon become useless, he said.
During the current event, some five thousand delegates deliberated and approved the amendment to the “Statutes of the Party,” which consisted of modifying some articles or stipulating others anew, in accordance with the demands of Party work as expressed in the plenums of the Eighth Central Committee.
