“In other words, the fact that they use everything they can get their hands on, without worrying about the consequences of using this type of weaponry, forces Moscow to employ increasingly powerful weapons as a retaliatory or countermeasure,” the former leader explained in statements to the Russian news agency TASS.
In the context of France and the United Kingdom’s intentions to deliver an atomic bomb to Kiev, Azarov insisted that Russian authorities must demand an official explanation from their British and French counterparts, since in his opinion, the possible supply of atomic weapons to Ukraine “could trigger World War III.”
The transfer of nuclear technology and participation in the creation of weapons of this nature is a direct violation of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, Azarov added, while noting that the United Kingdom, France, and the United States are signatories to the treaty.
The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) warned the previous day in a statement that the elites in London and Paris are considering arming Kiev with an atomic bomb or, at least, a dirty bomb, citing Ukraine’s inability to achieve victory in the conflict with Russia.
