In a protest, demonstrators denounced the illegality of the actions taken by Washington during an attack on Caracas on January 3, in which Venezuelan and Cuban soldiers belonging to the Venezuelan president’s security detail were killed.
They also demanded the immediate return of Maduro and his wife to the South American country.
At the rally, M. Jahangir Khan, president of the Tricontinental Solidarity Campaign in Bangladesh, recited a moving poem condemning what he described as the illegal and inhumane aggression by the United States.
He stated that the event was organized in solidarity with the Venezuelan people and reaffirmed their opposition to foreign intervention and their support for national sovereignty.
For his part, Mozzamel Huq Firoz, a lawyer and vice president of the Tricontinental Campaign of Solidarity for Venezuela, urged the continuation of the international struggle for the release of the Venezuelan president and his wife, unjustly detained by US authorities.
