According to the report, the state-owned unitary company Mosgortrans is replacing diesel buses with Russian-made electric buses in this capital, aimed at reducing emissions and improve passenger comfort.
The company will receive an additional 100 LiAZ-6274 electric buses, a domestically produced model.
These will be assigned to the Chertanovo depot. Currently, more than 470 LiAZ electric buses are already operating in Moscow.
It is noted that the new generation of buses offers more comfortable conditions for passengers thanks to their spacious interiors, smooth ride, and low noise levels.
At the same time, tests are being conducted on an ultra-fast charging station for electric buses.
This station, equipped with an inverted pantograph, uses innovative contact charging technology.
Unlike traditional methods, the pantograph (current receiver) is not located on the electric bus itself, but rather on the charging station structure, while contact rails are installed on the vehicle’s roof.
It was previously reported that the Russian capital will also receive five electric buses with autonomous driving capabilities.
