The NGO stated in a press release that the number of Palestinians in Israeli prisons increased in March by 2.15 percent, reaching more than 9,500.
Out of that number, 350 are children, and 73 are women, imprisoned in the Damon detention center.
The Palestinian Health Ministry reported that at least 1,042 Palestinians have died in the West Bank due to attacks by the Army or settlers since the current cycle of violence started in October 2023.
The territory has been occupied by the Israeli Army since the 1967 war, despite several United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions demanding its withdrawal.
The Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners’ Commission recently denounced the harsh living conditions of Palestinians in Israeli prisons and the systematic violence against them.
