“The reports of drone attacks on the Russkaya compressor station, which ensures the operation of the TurkStream pipeline on land, and the Beregovaya compressor station, which ensures the operation of Blue Stream, are very alarming,” Peskov told the press.

The spokesman stressed that such actions can be described as “especially irresponsible in the context of a global energy crisis that is worsening daily” due to the situation in the Middle East.

Peskov recalled that Russian President Vladimir Putin recently spoke of Russian intelligence reports indicating that the Ukrainian military is planning acts of sabotage against these gas pipelines, whose importance to the continent’s energy security is difficult to underestimate.

The spokesman also stressed that this type of incident once again highlights the true nature of the Ukrainian authorities.

Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that on Wednesday, Kiev launched drone attacks against the Russkaya and Beregovaya stations, both in the Krasnodar region.

According to information presented by the defense ministry, Russian forces intercepted or shot down approximately ten Ukrainian drones near the Russkaya station and another 14 drones heading toward the Beregovaya station.

The ministry stated that the attacks were aimed at disrupting gas supplies to European consumers.
