According to Fars news agency, Zolfaghari asserted that these actions are part of a “malicious plan” to attack targets he described as illegitimate using the Lucas drone, whose design is said to be similar to the Iranian aircraft.

The spokesman indicated that these operations aim to provoke tensions and discord between Iran and its neighboring countries.

The official affirmed that several attacks in the last few days on friendly and neighboring countries, including Turkiye, Kuwait, and Iraq, have been attributed to Iranian forces, even though, according to Tehran, they are the result of covert operations by Washington and Tel Aviv.

Press reports state that the Lucas drone is a low-cost attack aircraft with design characteristics similar to the Iranian Shahed model.

The United States and Israel have been carrying out, since late February, attacks on Iran in an escalation that has resulted in hundreds of casualties, including Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and several security officials.

Tehran, in response, launched missiles and drones against Israeli territory and also against US interests in several Middle Eastern countries, actions that caused casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure and were condemned by the affected states.
