An estimated 10,413 polling stations opened, with more than 12 million eligible voters, who should respond whether they will adopt a new Constitution, the text of which was published on media on February 12, 2026.
The voting process was monitored by 359 representatives from 38 countries and 11 international organizations.
Kazakh citizens living across 54 countries also participated.
The Central Commission will publish the official referendum results in the media within seven days of the close of voting, that is, before March 21.
The draft of Kazakhstan’s updated Constitution proposes changes to 77 articles, affecting 84 percent of the fundamental law.
