Petro highlighted the survey’s results on his X profile.
He wrote, “The best way I want to thank my people is to ensure that the progressive program of progress and opportunities for everyone does not die.
I want to walk out before a joyful demonstration at the Bolivar Square and the Liberator’s sword remains in the hands of the people.”
Colombia will hold presidential elections on May 31, and if a runoff is necessary, it will take place on June 21.
The new president’s inauguration will be on August 7.
