Ismail al-Thawabta, Director General of the Government Media Office in the enclave, criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for failing to fulfill the commitments made.
Al-Thawabta condemned the reduction in the flow of humanitarian aid and the closure of border crossings, which he considered a “clear violation of the terms of international agreements.”
The official noted that the closure of the Rafah crossing prevents the evacuation of injured and sick people to receive treatment abroad.
Al-Thawabta affirmed that those measures directly impact living conditions, while exacerbating crises in food, medicine, and basic services.
Economic expert Ahmed Abu Qamar warned on Wednesday that the price increase in the Gaza Strip is driven by the Israeli siege.
