KCNA informed that the event took place on Sunday during the first session of the 15th Legislature, held at the Congress Palace in Pyongyang.

The North Korean media outlet underscored that this election is the most important matter of state authority decided by this supreme body of people’s power, as it represents the unanimous will of the Korean people.

The state-run news agency expressed its conviction in the success of Korean-style socialism and the building of a prosperous country and a powerful army with Kim Jong-un as a top leader, as he guarantees a wonderful future for generations to come, with great transformations and victories along the path of the Party and State’s struggle.

KCNA noted that this event marks the beginning of a new era of rising state prosperity, as indicated by the 9th Congress of the Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK).
