Pakistan and Iran maintain smooth flow of bilateral trade

Islamabad, March 18 (Prensa Latina) Pakistan's ambassador to Iran, Mudassir Ali Tipu, expressed gratitude to Tehran for ensuring the smooth flow of transit trade between the two countries despite the ongoing conflict between the United States and Israel.

In a post on X, the diplomat highlighted that the land borders between the two nations are operating efficiently, thanks to the implementation of green lanes at various crossing points that allow for the rapid movement of goods in both directions.

Tipu emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to cooperating with Tehran authorities to ensure uninterrupted trade, despite the ongoing regional events.

“Pakistan is providing its full cooperation to Tehran to ensure that our trade is not affected by current events.

Congestion issues are also being addressed through joint efforts,” he wrote.

The Embassy is actively coordinating with both official actors and the private sector in Pakistan and Iran to facilitate immediate trade and resolve operational challenges at the border, the report states.

Meanwhile, Pakistani authorities confirmed that tankers carrying gasoline and crude oil continue to arrive at Port Qasim, as efforts intensify to ensure fuel availability amid the ongoing crisis in the Middle East.
