A publication from the Department of Youth Affairs informed that the meeting was attended by representatives from all member countries of the intergovernmental bloc.
The institution noted that the meeting, under the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability,” set the course for cooperation related to the next generation during this year.
The organization noted that India presented an overview of the BRICS Youth Track 2026, which includes initiatives such as working group meetings, thematic engagements, the “Serve BRICS” volunteering activities, the Youth Development Forum, the Youth Council Meeting, the Youth Summit, and the Youth Ministerial Meeting.
The discussions highlighted priority pillars for collaboration among member countries in the sectors of education and skills, youth entrepreneurship, science and innovation, social participation, inclusion, health and sport, the environment and sustainability, interfaith dialogue, and youth exchange.
The Department of Youth Affairs stated that the meeting provided a platform for BRICS member countries to align positions on broad thematic areas.
