“Following the meeting, the Ministry of Energy was instructed to prepare a draft resolution prohibiting gasoline exports starting April 1, 2026, in order to stabilize prices and guarantee priority supply to the domestic market,” the high-ranking Russian official stated.

At the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the instability in global oil and petroleum product markets, caused by the crisis in the Middle East, which is generating significant price fluctuations.

However, the high demand for Russian energy resources in foreign markets remains a positive factor, Novak emphasized.

Currently, Russia maintains a ban on gasoline exports only for non-manufacturing companies, until the end of July 2026. However, major oil companies are permitted to export.
