In a statement released to the press, the FSB said it “intercepted the illegal activities of a Russian citizen, a resident of Ulyanovsk, born in 2005, suspected of treason for spying for Ukrainian intelligence services.”
During the investigation, it was determined that “the detainee, acting under the instructions of an employee of the Security Service of Ukraine, collected and transmitted information about a company that manufactures and produces drones for the Russian Ministry of Defense, which are actively used in special military operations.”
The judicial authorities opened a criminal case against the suspect for high treason.
Previously, a criminal case had been opened against the Ulyanovsk resident for collaborating with terrorist activities by posting on Telegram to raise funds to support the activities of members of terrorist organizations acting in the interest of Ukrainian intelligence services. The suspect remains in pretrial detention.
The FSB reiterated that all individuals who have agreed to collaborate with the enemy will be identified, prosecuted, and punished accordingly.
