The military force denounced, in a statement released after an airstrike on the Iranian University of Science and Technology in Tehran, the repeated attacks on educational facilities in the country.

The text noted, “All universities of the occupying entity and US universities in the region will be considered legitimate targets” in retaliation for the destruction of higher education institutions on Iranian territory.

The document also warned the teaching staff, students, and residents near these institutions to maintain a minimum distance of one kilometer from these facilities for security reasons.

The IRGC statement also urged Washington to issue an official condemnation of the attacks on Iranian universities, threatening further reprisals if this demand is not met.

Reports stated that the US and Israeli forces previously attacked the Isfahan University of Technology and the Iranian University of Science and Technology in this capital early Saturday morning.

Local media point out that the latter institution is renowned for its scientific research, including in the field of nuclear technology.
