Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei stated in a post on the social media platform X that the bombing of facilities dedicated to the production of medicines constitutes “another dimension of the criminal sanctions” imposed against the Persian nation.
“The attack on pharmaceutical factories deprives Iranians of vital medicines and represents a flagrant war crime and a crime against humanity,” he noted.
Baghhaei also warned that those who attempt to divert attention from what he called an “illegitimate war” by focusing on economic issues such as oil or food prices risk becoming complicit in such actions.
Iranian media reported yesterday that pharmaceutical facilities, considered key to the production of medicines, including cancer treatments, were hit by bombings, causing serious material damage.
Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi denounced the attack on social media, stating that “war criminals are openly bombing pharmaceutical companies.”
