During the early morning hours, Israeli artillery and tanks fired on the city of Khan Younis, located in the center of the coastal enclave, the Safa news agency reported.
According to a reporter from the news network, warships also opened fire on the northern city of Gaza.
Regional authorities reported that since the beginning of the truce there in October of last year, the armed forces of the neighboring country have killed 716 Palestinians.
Meanwhile, in the West Bank, the military stormed the towns of Burqa, Talfit, Beit Iba, Askar al-Balad, Qalqilya, al-Nu’man, Sair, Beit Furik, Rujeib, Doha, and Bethlehem this morning.
The official Palestinian news agency reported that one person was arrested in Burqa, five in Qalqilya, two in al-Nu’man, and three in Hebron.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, more than 40 people have been killed and 616 wounded in the West Bank since the beginning of the year by attacks from the Israeli army and settlers.
The NGO recently reported that during that period, security forces and Jewish extremist groups committed 18,595 violations in the territory.
These attacks included thousands of raids on cities, towns, and refugee camps, as well as attacks, searches, and the destruction of property, it emphasized.
More than 780,000 settlers live in the region, including East Jerusalem, in clear violation of international law and several UN Security Council resolutions.
