The agency called unfounded the information circulating on social media that Turkiye had supplied Iran with advanced air defense systems and anti-drone missiles, allegedly used in the incident.
The agency stressed that these claims “lack foundation and do not reflect reality,” and considered them part of a disinformation campaign aimed at undermining Turkiye’s role in regional stability efforts.
It also stated that these accusations are part of a “psychological war” aimed at weakening the country’s image and distorting its foreign policy, which is based on promoting peace and conflict resolution.
The statement urged the public not to be swayed by misleading information aimed at destabilizing the regional balance and discrediting Turkiye’s diplomatic progress.
