Rodriguez reiterated the Cuban government’s willingness to engage in serious and responsible dialogue to try to find solutions to bilateral problems, based on sovereign equality and international law, without interference in internal affairs or in the political, economic, or social system.
Democratic members of Congress paid a multi-day visit to the island, during which they demanded an immediate end to the fuel embargo imposed by Washington, which they described as “cruel collective punishment” that amounts “in practice to an economic bombardment of the country’s infrastructure.”
