The play that will run throughout April celebrates the twelfth anniversary of the group, founded by Cuban playwright and actor Jazz Vila, who is driven by a passion for an art form born of talent and creativity.
Beyond celebrating another year in the hearts of his fans, Instante evokes that visceral passion for the performing arts that distinguishes the creator and the artists who share this adventure with him.
The actors champion a production that pays homage to 12 years of hard work, filled with challenges, creativity, success, and a belief in a performance where the audience can always find enjoyment.
This was Vila’s sentiment expressed in a recent press conference at the company’s headquarters in the Vedado neighborhood, where they explored the conflicts and dreams of each character, as well as the motivations behind a premiere that nods to emblematic titles from their repertoire.
With a distinctive touch, Instante borrows characters from Farandula, Rascacielos, Eclipse, and Candela, in a show that addresses the heartbreak of romantic relationships.
“The play emerged in a moment of inspiration while I was in Madrid,” added Jazz Vila, who also emphasized the innovative nature of this theatrical production within the Cuban theater scene.
Set against the backdrop of Havana’s Malecon, the story “proposes a choral structure that reflects on love, loss, and the impact of those life-changing moments that come without warning,” according to the press release.
