The president shared with 19 teenagers from that school which was inaugurated on December 31, 1989, by the historical leader of the Cuban Revolution, Fidel Castro, as has occurred in previous years.
The celebration, which has been held uninterruptedly at the institution since 1999, was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of state and private institutions, families, and embassies of various nations, who ensured the festivities took place despite the complex situation the country is experiencing due to the tightening of the United States blockade.
According to the Office of the President, participants and authorities present praised the school as a symbol of the Cuban Revolution’s achievements and its capacity to assist those most in need.
The celebration was dedicated to Army General Raul Castro, in recognition of his unwavering support and for being a fundamental part of the school’s history.
