The International Rescue Committee (IRC) condemned in a statement that “hundreds of thousands of children throughout Lebanon have endured the anguish of repeated displacements.”
The NGO warned that uprooted for the first time during the 2024 hostilities, many now face the same uncertainty again.
The global humanitarian aid group noted that more than one million people, including 350,000 children, have fled their homes during the current escalation.
It underscored that the families are forced to share confined spaces with strangers, while suffering from lack of space, access to basic products, and accumulating psychological stress.
World Vision, in turn, expressed “deep alarm at the increase in Israeli airstrikes.”
