The head of Iran’s Forensic Medicine Organization, Abbas Masjedi Arani, told reporters that all the victims have been identified, after more than a month of hostilities.
According to the official, the military actions initiated by Washington and Tel Aviv resulted in a high number of deaths, amid a confrontation that lasted for about 40 days.
During that period, Iran responded by launching missiles and drones toward Israeli territory, in addition to attacking what it described as US interests in several Arab countries, actions that caused casualties and material damage, and drew condemnation in the region.
The conflict subsequently led to the announcement of a two-week temporary ceasefire between the United States and Iran, mediated by Pakistan, with the aim of paving the way for a definitive agreement to end the war.
According to Iranian authorities, Tehran hopes to conclude negotiations on Pakistani soil during the truce period, with a view to achieving a lasting solution to the conflict.
