According to Agencia Brasil, Pellegrino has a solid track record in audiovisual media and public administration, and spearheaded the reconstruction of Brazilian television by expanding its audience and strengthening its cultural profile.
According to the Minister of the Secretariat of Social Communication of the Presidency, Sidonio Palmeira, Pellegrino combines managerial experience, editorial sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the sector’s ecosystem.
He considered these qualities essential to consolidating the strategic role of public media in democracy.
The same source added that Pellegrino coordinated important projects, including the reformulation of the Sin Censura (Without Censorship) program and the implementation of Selección TV Brasil (TV Brasil Selection). A graduate in Social Sciences with master’s degrees in Literature, Culture and Contemporary Affairs, and in Public Administration, she has a distinguished career as a screenwriter.
At the same time, she maintains an active presence in the journalistic and literary fields, contributing to the newspaper Folha de S.Paulo and the magazine Piaui.
Pellegrino’s appointment comes amid a relaunch of public communication in Brazil, with the aim of expanding access to quality content, strengthening cultural diversity, and consolidating the role of state media.
