In a statement, the organization asserted that Benjamin Netanyahu’s government has stripped the truce of its practical content and transformed it into a mere formality that offers no protection to civilians nor guarantees the minimum conditions for life.
“Our teams on the ground have documented systematic violations by the army in recent months, whether through direct attacks and raids or restrictive policies that exacerbate the humanitarian catastrophe,” the statement denounced.
The NGO highlighted that since the ceasefire began, more than 740 Palestinians have been killed, including 205 children, 86 women, and 21 elderly people, in addition to more than 2,000 wounded.
The Israeli Armed Forces (IDF) have disregarded the agreed-upon withdrawal lines by imposing de facto control through fire over other areas, endangering many lives and preventing safe access to agricultural land and sources of livelihood, the Center warned.
The Center, which noted that the IDF controls more than 54 percent of the coastal enclave, home to two million Palestinians, criticized the ongoing destruction and demolition operations, the establishment of military posts, attacks, and human rights violations.
It questioned the siege of the territory, which prevents the entry of vital supplies such as medicine, food, and fuel, necessary for the operation of hospitals and water supply systems.
