The statement by spokesman Guo Jiakun comes amid broad international support for Cuba following the latest threats from the United States and President Donald Trump.
Previously, the Chinese Foreign Ministry called on Washington to heed the voice of justice and the international community.
Beijing urged an immediate end to all sanctions and the blockade against Cuba, while reiterating its willingness to work with the international community in supporting the island.
China has stated on several occasions that it will continue its “support and assistance” in the face of repeated threats from the United States and condemned Washington’s pressure, which “compromises regional peace and stability.”
