In a message posted on the X social network, the Foreign Minister specified that the measure will be in effect all along the truce, following the announcement of the cessation of hostilities in Lebanon.

He explained that navigation will take place via routes previously coordinated by the Ports and Maritime Affairs Organization of Iran, with the aim of ensuring the safety of maritime traffic in this strategic waterway.

For his part, US President Donald Trump confirmed the full reopening of the strait and expressed his gratitude to Iran.

In a statement released on his Truth Social network, the president asserted that the maritime route “is completely open and ready for trade and free transit,” though he clarified that the naval blockade against Iran will remain in place until the full conclusion of negotiations between the two sides.

Trump also expressed that Washington and Tehran are in an advanced stage of dialogue and that understandings have already been reached on most points, with expectations of finalizing an agreement in the short term.
